Overview


Dr. Wanich specializes in the field of sports medicine and is an expert in the arthroscopic management of shoulder, hip and knee injuries. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, Dr. Wanich received additional specialty training in sports medicine at the Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, assisting with the care of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers and Kings; the Anaheim Mighty Ducks; and the USC Football team.

Dr. Wanich has a special interest in ACL tears, rotator cuff tears and cartilage injuries and utilizes cutting-edge operative and non-operative techniques for sports injury treatment. From weekend warriors to elite athletes, Dr. Wanich works with all types of patients to get them back on the field as quickly as possible while also helping to prevent future injuries. He is currently the team physician for Lehman College, Truman High School and Lehman High School.

Dr. Wanich is an assistant professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
