Overview


Keith P. Johnson, M.D. is a fellowship trained, board certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine. His practice mainly focuses on minimally invasive surgical treatments of injuries and disorders involving the major joints such as the shoulder, knee, hip and elbow but also includes conservative management of those same conditions. Treatment of common traumatic injuries such as fractures, muscle strains, and ligament sprains or tears typical of emergency department visits are also a routine part of his practice. His fellowship in sports medicine was carried out at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and included coverage of athletes from the amateur through professional levels.

Born in Washington DC. – Dr. Johnson grew up Maryland and was always active in team sports such as basketball which continued with intramural sports through his medical schools years at the University of Virginia. His avid interests in physical activity and sports continues through the present with interests in cycling and gym related exercise.
